Competitive Obedience

Instruction will be given in:

Sit, down, recall, heel, stand for exam, off leash heeling
Heeling, Figure 8, Stand for Exam, Heel off leash, Recall, Long Sit and Long Down
Each exercise will be aimed toward competition in AKC Novice Obedience Class.

Prerequisites:

Dogs must be at least 6 months old and in good physical condition.
Dogs may not be aggressive towards people or towards other dogs. Dogs that are aggressive will have to be evaluated by the instructor to determine if it can be handled in a class situation.

Students should bring to class: soft food, chew toy, play toy, and regular fabric or leather leash (flex leads will not be allowed). Students should wear athletic shoes.
Successful completion: Your dog should on command: sit, down, come when called, heel, and stand for exam.
